The Portorican dance instructor, handsome primary school teacher Nicholas Dominguez, has just dumped his haughty competition dance partner Cristina and accepted her arrogant dare he couldn't train another girl. He succeeds and both get on kissing terms before Amie admits being engaged, but she soon returns her ring, claiming Jason's job acceptance suggests their marriage isn't a real priority for him.
