                    The twenty-one year-old streetwalker Sylvia Vane is narcissistic with the beauty of her face. After killing a pimp and stealing his jewels, she heads to a pawnshop to raise money to buy expensive clothes to seduce the wealthy bachelor Ronnie Price. The pawnbroker offers ten-thousand dollars for her beauty and advises that she has four months to retrieve it, and Sylvia believes he is crazy.
