Convicted of the brutal murder of his father and sister, Johan is sentenced indefinitely to a high-security mental institution. Protesting self-defense against an abusive father, he believes that his mother is his last chance of freedom. She knows what really happened and can make a statement. Helpless in the prison, he manages  to escape, and soon, a massive nationwide police search is on his tail. Desperate to keep the police at bay, Johan takes a 13-year-old runaway girl hostage. Both fugitives, the two strike an uneasy friendship. But there is more to Johan than meets the eye, and it’s a race against time to stop the worst from happening.
