Maria, a police inspector, returns to Korè, the island where she was born, to marry her childhood sweetheart, Cristiano. Her arrival unleashes a tragic series of indecipherable murders: dark warnings, ghostly apparitions, stones that cry the blood of the victims- and unexplainable chain of events that seem to be linked to the ancient legends of the island and to an atrocious crime that occurred many years ago. A community dazed by the events and barricaded behind by their own traditions are forced to face up to their own lost identity...
