Actually, this film has four authors - director and cameraman Gunārs Bandēns, musicians Hārdijs Lediņš and Ojārs Apinis, and me. The idea of making the film whose protagonist would be night tram first appeared in mid-90s. In the end filming took three years instead of the planned year-and-a-half and sixteen hours of raw material got cut down to thirty four minutes of finished film. One could call it a visual poem that operates with metaphysical categories like time, space and man's destiny in friction between time and space.
