                    Set in the near future, Brandner's village is populated by emotionless citizens, kept in place with pills and pleasures. Once a year the wealthy people arrive to hunt in a nearby area, where the villagers are never allowed. One day a new citizen begins hunting illegally out of a simple desire to do something different. A strange, homosexual gamekeeper spots him, and the two begin an affair. They attempt to stage an uprising but are shot down.
