                    Set in a Los Angeles reformatory, behind locked gates and barbed-wire fences, for wayward girls and unwed-mothers, the inmates, two weeks from Chtistmas Day, conceal a newly-born baby boy from the institute's house-mothers and care-taker guards to keep it from going to an adoptive agency.
