Two truckers are on a long journey in the mountains of Rumania, hauling a huge piece of preformed concrete. When they stop to pick up a female hitchhiker, the older one, who has been driving, is most upset. As the trip continues, he gets a glimmering of why just in time.
Romanian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor Mircea Daneliuc entered his country's film industry with a role in Cursa/The Long Drive (1975). Before graduating from Bucharest's Institute of Theater and Film Art in 1972, Daneliuc had earned a degree in French philology at Bucharest University and spent a year as a teacher. Daneliuc served as an assistant director on two films by Mircea Dragan. In the late '70s, Daneliuc left the film industry to become a stage director; he would only sporadically return to films through the '80s and '90s.
