在这部我为爱追到中国剧情片中,Imam (Duke dolken), student, barely doing his duty as a Muslim. His girlfriend Widya (Nina Zatulini), his younger class, is already finished college and working. Widya is impatient because Imam has not yet passed his college, but Imam is disappointed because Widya should wear a sexy office dress.
When Imam accompanies his friend Billy (Ernest Prakasa) to Sam Po Khong temple, he meets Chen Jia Li (Eriska Rein), a Chinese Muslim woman who is on vacation to a place of his ancestors before making engagement with Ma Fu Hsien (Mithu Nisar), owner of Wing Chun hermitage and boarding school in Beijing. Imam is fascinated with the hospitality and graciousness of Chen Jia Li who wears hijab.
Comfort  felt by Iman make him stand alongside Chen Jia Li. He chooses to break up with Widya and ready to declare his love to Chen Jia Li. Too late. Chen Jia Li has returned to China. Widya apologizes and promises to improve her attitude. But Imam goes after Chen Jia Li to China with Billy.
Arriving in Beijing Imam is determined to propose Chen Jia Li. However, Imam is  disappointed to learn that Chen Jia Li is engaged with Ma Fu Hsien. Imam does not give up. He follows his friend's advice "to ask" Chen Jia Li from her fiancée. Chen Jia Li hesitates. She likes Imam but there is no reason not to accept Ma Fu Hsien.
While Imam is waiting for answer, Widya catchs up him to Beijing. She wears hijab, and wants to make their relationship to be like before.
