在这部Domnisoara Christina恐怖片中,The main character - the young Christina, murdered out of jealousy in 1907, heir of an old family of landlords whose domains spreaded all over the Danube plain. It's not the superstition, by which  a life ceased too soon continues it's existence in it's birth place, is the plot but the fact that Miss Christina manages to spiritually corrupt Smirna, her niece(my note: or "nephew", it's the same word for both in romanian) a 10-11 year old girl. Smirna, although still just a child  becomes, through this single experience, fully grown up. Hence, when Miss Christina fells in love with one of the guests of the manor and attempts to seduce him, charming him at first through his dreams, and then making him not fall out of charm even after waking up, Smirna shall mirror this exact passion and behave towards Egor just like an adult woman. Thus, the ghost of Christina, unable to assume it's own way of life(although desiring she did) will sacrifice birds, animals, human beings, deeds for which - inevitably, she will be punished. But at what price!...
                    Adaptation of the novel of the same name by philosopher and professor of history of religions and its dramatic prose Mircea Eliade (1907 - 1986), directed by Viorel Sergovici, the movie tells the story of young Christina (Mariana Buruiana) jealousy killed in 1907, the descendant of an old family of landowners whose fields lie in the plains of the Danube, which corrupts the spirit of her niece Simina (Medea Marinescu) at age of 10, to involve into a relationship with the painter Egor Paschievici (Adrian Pintea) hosted at mansion. The film introduces us to Moscu family, two daughters, Sanda and Simina and Mrs. Moscu's sister, Christina, who died 30 years ago. Atmosphere of mystery makes Simina trapped into a spiritualistic ritual when Miss Christina falls in love with one of the guests at the mansion and try to conquer it, at first in dreams. The young girl Simina will act against Egor as a grown woman, but Egor falls in love with her sister Sanda.
