在这部硝子的尊尼剧情/爱情片中,被賣給人肉販子的北海道漁村少女逃生時邂逅浪子尊尼，為其所救。初看還道只是又一場神女有心，襄王無夢的好戲，然而準備在空氣中揮發散失的青春與愛，錦瑟無端，一弦一柱都有傷痛與轉化。當尊尼被美與誠意打動，開始學習與少女一起生活，人肉販子卻突然重現，愛侶前展開的，原來不是可想像的未來。宍戶錠、蘆川泉和艾喬治三人精彩的演技，把兩男一女間的張力來回拉扯，跌宕處皆觸動心脾，多虧山田信夫的劇本，巧妙地在影片下半場扭轉了觀眾期望。
Mifune (Ashikawa) is a country girl from Hokkaido who is sold into prostitution. After she seizes the chance to escape, she finds an unlikely ally in the form of Joe (Shishido Jo), a young hustler who is mostly interested in his own dreams, but gradually opens his heart to her. When her pimp finds them, however, a happy ending may not be in the cards. With naturalistic performances by the fresh young cast and the “La Strada”-esque rhythm of the open road, this film has a delicate, but hardly glass, heart.
