The show, premiering on ABC August 18, will pit the longtime NBA athlete against figures including Michael Phelps, Oscar de La Hoya, and Kerri Walsh. But, Shaq’s most interesting opponent booked for the series is Serena Williams !
Like his other co-stars/athletes, including Phelps who Shaq will swim against in the first episode, Williams will likely face off with Shaq on home turf = the tennis court… It will be interesting to see who wins that match… Shaq Vs. Wimbledon champ Serena Williams…
“Shaq Vs.” is slated to air on ABC with at least six episodes confirmed, including a football based episode with Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
                    Former basketball star Shaquille O'Neal pushes his athletic prowess to the limit as he challenges world-class athletes to contests on their turf. Viewers will see not only the final contests, but the training process and pregame hype leading up to them. He's not entirely at a disadvantage - O'Neal negotiates a handicap in advance of each competition with his opponent, and trains for a week with a coach.
