  史蒂芬一家幸运的受到旅游公司的邀请，免费去美丽海岛度假一周，不想却陷入圈套。这一切原是电视节目“家庭骗局”的主持人策划的一场整蛊游戏，史蒂芬一家被事先安排好的“整蛊”计划搞的团团转，并且造成家庭不合，加上在海岛上过着原始的生活，搞笑的不行；然而这一切过程都被电视台制作成节目，对全城现场直播。后来有人通风报信，揭开真相，那个岛其实只是一个距离萨克拉门托很近的岛屿，史蒂芬一家则合力演了一出好戏，实实在在的报复了整蛊他们的主持人一把。
