It tells a story of 58 years old man called only "Hero" - but named with many different names - who wants only to lie in bed whole day. He is not allowed to though, he is visited by various people who were important in his past life. The play is quite surreal and absurd, long dead people talk about their own death, characters from TV watch Hero and comment his life all the time, new guests appear and disappear constantly. Original play was altered in many ways by Kieślowski, perhaps even message is different. ~ Puchacz
                    Hero, is a former partisan and random, Unrelated scenes from his life of a realistic and surreal character are shown. Because of war his powerlessness, unbelief, self-irony, and difficulty in communicating are becoming apparent.
