After the war soldier Azaria with his beautiful wife Arpen have settled in his old house right near the canyon. Here, far from the crowdy places, the couple spent the severe post-war years bound by their friendship and fidelity. But their seemed-to-be normal life is interrupted by the arrival of geologist team to the canyon. Unable to accept the changes, Azaria returns back to the people, to the village, taking his dog, domesticated bear and deer with him.
