                    In 1944, tough, elegant, Lula, is eight months pregnant and living alone. Her husband, Zygmunt, has been working for the Polish resistance army fighting against the Nazi regime. A warning spreads that the Germans are entering the town to look for resistance. Lula's and Zygmunt's sweet reunion quickly turns into a tense fight for survival.
