Originally conceived and made as a five-part TV special on the occasion of Caetano Veloso's 50th birthday, this version is a "best of" edit of the five parts and documents Veloso's career from his humble beginnings in Bahia to international stardom. Co-directed by Walter Salles, who later went on to helm Central Station and Motorcycle Diaries, and José Henrique Fonseca, who made the very successful Man of the Year in 2003.
