                    When turned down by Phosphene, the love of his life, Zane enlists the help of his sociopathic friend Spud to help him kidnap her and implant her with a mind-control device. The makeshift operation is a success, but despite his best efforts, Zane just cannot make Phosphene fall in love with him. Finally they visit an enigmatic man dubbed "The Timekeeper" to get some additional parts, but, high on acid, Zane has an attack of conscience, and Spud has an attack of psychosis brought on by forgotten memories.
