From famous corners of the Louvre Museum to the modernist buildings of Oscar Niemeyer in Brazil and Mies van der Rohe in Canada, Lewis takes us on a whirling tour of cityscapes and creates a sense of moving images through glass, light, reflections, concrete, spiral staircases, paintings and people, as well as uncanny camera movement and trompe l'oeil. By being a contemporary homage to the City Symphony films of the 1920s, it becomes a love letter to urban spaces, art and cinema.
Shot in Paris, São Paulo and Toronto, acclaimed Canadian contemporary artist Mark Lewis's film captures the ever-changing textures of these cities through moving images of glass, light, shadows and reflections.
