A year later, the Forrest family is gathered for a Thanksgiving feast, brothers Rick and Danny share time with Katie and mother Carol remembering dad. That night, Katie is stricken with heart failure and Gabe is there to call 911 to save his mother in time, but Katie is now in need of a new heart to survive.
