Jean Michaud also known as Jean Mailland (born the April 26th 1937 with Aix-the-Baths, Savoy) is a writer, Parolier, Acteur and Réalisateur for the Cinéma and the Télévision. Jean Mailland follows the courses of the dramatic academy of Lyon, then the school of the Theater of the Comedy of Roger Planchon also in Lyon. He goes up then to Paris where he follows the course Henri Bose. He is in continuation in turn director, first assistant (between-others of Claude Barma, of André Michel, Jean-Jacques Vierne, and Pierre Laryau), scenario writer (of Hellé carried out by Roger Vadim), technical adviser on Bako of Jacques Champreux.
                    Hamida (Amor Aquint) is a poor young Arab boy who is befriended by Renaud (Francis Lefebvre), the grandson of a wealthy plantation owner (Jean Davy). The boys become fast friends in spite of the colonial system that encourages separating the two cultures. When Hamida dies because of medical neglect, Renaud feels the first pangs of social and cultural injustice. His first stirrings of social awareness have Renaud vow not to be prejudiced like his grandfather in this sentimental drama with an anti-colonialist message.
