The woman refuses to believe them and won’t be deterred, escaping the clinic at the next opportunity. Symbolic actions mark her search. João Viana’s cinema is characterised by a very idiosyncratic visual style – unconcerned with a naturalistic representation of reality, he treats the screen as a stage.
                    A black and white short film that tells the story of a young woman, a patient at a psychiatric hospital in Mozambique, who is searching for her son. It's the lie of a worker, who claims he didn't see the child, in one of the few lines of the film, that unleashes a series of acts of rebellion by Lucy, the mother, thus reinforcing the apparent need to keep her confined to that place.
