Veteran French filmmaker Claude Miller presents this youth drama, co-directed with his son, Nathan. Exploring the themes of troubled children-parent relationships, the movie tells the story of a young protagonist who forms a curious relationship with his birth mother who once abandoned him. Inspired by true events, the idea for the film originated 13 years ago as a project by Jacques Audiard, after reading an article by Emmanuel Carrere.
                    Given up for adoption as a toddler, troubled teenager Thomas becomes obsessed with tracking down his birth mother. After years of searching, Thomas finds her single, with a small child, living in a nearby suburb and begins a relationship with her which slowly drives him to an act of madness.
