女子大生のまり子はアルバイト先で同じ大学の学生・橋本と知りあい、軽い気持ちから同棲を始めた。そのとき、以前つきあっていた30歳過ぎの売れないルポライター・恒雄が現れた。二人の過去を知った橋本は恒雄と殴り合いをして、姿を消す。まり子は久しぶりに恒雄とセックスをしたが、かつての激しい情熱は感じられなかった。やがて、田舎で就職を決めた橋本が戻り、まり子を両親に引きあわせたいと言いだした。一方、恒雄も夢ばかりを追って、まり子を顧みようとしなかった。自分勝手な二人の男に対して、まり子はある決断をした…。
