在这部蓝调上海，新天地剧情片中,Rémy, jeune architecte parisien, est envoyé à Shanghai par son agence pour remplacer un collègue tombé malade et finaliser le chantier de la salle de spectacle qu’il dirigeait. A l’issue du chantier, il doit intégrer la filiale de l’agence pour 3 ans. Marine, sa femme, d’abord réticente à tout abandonner pour suivre son mari avec leur fils Alex au bout du monde, se laisse finalement convaincre de tenter l’aventure. Installée à Shanghai, la petite famille doit rapidement s’adapter à un mode de vie totalement dépaysant, mais trouve rapidement ses marques grâce à ses nouveaux amis. Alex devient vite bilingue, Marine se découvre des ambitions nouvelles dans le monde de la mode, tandis que Rémy arrive au bout de son chantier. Alors que la partie semble gagnée, Rémy trébuche, se mettant à dos le promoteur chinois qui exige son renvoi. Miné par son échec, il déprime et veut rentrer en France alors que Marine, qui s’épanouit, refuse catégoriquement de repartir… Le couple est en crise jusqu’au jour où Rémy accepte de s’associer avec Yu, son alter égo chinois, pour monter une agence avec lui. De nouvelles perspectives professionnelles s’ouvrent alors à lui, sur Pékin…
                    Rémy, a young architect based in Paris, is sent to Shanghai to finish the construction of a concert venue, after a colleague in charge falls ill. Once his job is finished, he's to work in the company's new Shanghai agency for a three-year term. It's an assignment he can't refuse without the risk of losing his job, and a difficult one « to sell » to his wife. Marine is at first reluctant to give up everything and go with her husband and son to the ends of the earth, but she's finally persuaded to give the adventure a try. Settled in a village of the French Concession in Shanghai, the little family has to quickly adapt to a new way of life. With the help of Christophe, a French neighbor married to a Chinese woman, Xavier, a young night-club owner and a few other French expats, the family starts to find its feet.
