                    After becoming exposed to the world of indecent internet video, Meiqing, a popular liveshow host who had over a million followers, became overwhelmed by vulgar comments and online attacks, when her sex tape was mysteriously leaked, inciting her to an untimely death. Three years later, five seemingly unrelated people were invited to the popular TV show "Brutal Truth". Xiaoyu Guan, the host of the program, suddenly ditched the pre-rehearsed routine and took a hard line to the guests, pushing them to confess their connections to the long forgotten death of Meiqing, and causing many more disturbing secrets to be brought to light. It turns out Meiqing's death was not that simple, after all, and everyone there is a culprit, including Xiaoyu Guan who seems to have an undisclosed relationship with Meiqing.
