对生活现状感到无力的夜班护士方寰，与曾抛家弃子的癌末病患张先生，两人看似无关的生活轨道因一封信产生了交集，意外获得重新探寻和面对自我的机会。
本片借用两个与冥王星相关的天文事件作为隐喻，描述台湾女性在社会关系和自我中难以平衡的困境，以及每个人生命中都可能出现的转捩时刻：有时变故与失去的目的，只是为了促成新生自我的开始。
                    A nurse who finds herself stuck in her current job and a dying long-distance relationship meets a cancer patient who is trying to find the family he abandoned before it is too late. An undelivered letter brings the two together and provides an unexpected solution to their problems. This drama uses two astronomical events, the exclusion of Pluto from the planetary system and the completion of the space probe New Horizon, as a metaphor for the inner transformation of both characters.
