                    When Anna Svetlova accidentally bumps into her former student, now a military pilot, memories of past events come flooding back to her in a second. Twenty years ago, after graduating from college, Anna's first job was teaching literature in a secondary school. One of her pupils, Yegor Aleksandrov refused to write essays on the subjects in the curriculum and instead, invented romantic stories for his teacher written in the style of his idol, the French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. As Anna felt herself being drawn deeper into this wordless but tender affair, she realized she had no choice but to disappear from Yegor's life before her career and reputation were destroyed. Many years later, fate grants them a second chance encounter, but Anna is now married, and as Saint-Exupéry himself wrote, "We are responsible for those we have tamed".
