                    Although keeping herself above her environment, Ann Morgan is used by her father as "half in his gambling den. One day Ann plays cards with Al Brent. She plays a straight game much to the disgust of Morgan, and Brent wins. Morgan, angry, takes her place and by cheating, wins all of Brent's money. Ann, ashamed of her father, accuses him. A fight follows. Morgan, though mortally wounded, makes his getaway with Ann and they finally find their way to a mountain cabin where they are both welcomed by Norwood. Morgan dies shortly afterwards and Norwood asks Ann to marry him. She consents. All goes well until one day Brent happens into town and comes in contact with Norwood, who is filling his pipe from a pouch which bad belonged to Ann before her marriage and which Brent recognizes as one belonging to him. He tells Norwood. Norwood attacks him and then rushes home to his wife and asks her if it is true; if she was the "woman of the town saloon."
