In a time of turmoil, when natural and political forces threaten to destroy everything, time itself becomes an almost cosmic force. From deep, eccentric folklore to deep time: Keith Walsh's original and cinematic film alternates between charming scenes from the local culture and anthropocene abstractions. People enjoy folk dance like they always have in Gort, and when somebody dies, the whole village comes to the funeral. But even though ancient traditions are proudly maintained, civilisation might just be a passing moment in the midst of eternity.
