                    Beatriz, a motherless nine year old girl, comes home from a school trip to the zoo and finds her father drunk. She doesn't know this day will mark the end of her innocence. Twenty years later, Beatriz leads a normal life, but the burden of her past still haunts her. After receiving news of her abusive father's death, she tries to escape from what is happening, struggling to forgive or forget him. In her heartache, Beatriz unexpectedly retreats into a memory of her childhood and is given the opportunity to reclaim her innocence and find peace with her father and herself.
