◇ 故事：往返于人间地狱的魔间使者
　　
约翰·康斯坦丁（基努·里维斯饰）是个长得英俊潇洒，还有点超能力的侦探。听起来不怎么样，可实际上他的超能力可不是一般的--能够在天堂与地狱间任意游走的他顶多算是个介于神鬼之间的人形生物。
虽然天生能识别混在人类中的半魔半仙，平时工作也就有了着落--周游周游世界、调查各地发生的神秘事件，不过这个让人琢磨不透的男人实际上却从小为这种超能力所苦。算是以驱魔为生的康斯坦丁可是已经对人生毫无幻想了，整一个愤世嫉俗的青年。

　日子就这么一天天过着，直到女警官安吉拉（蕾切尔·威兹饰）的出现。安吉拉完全是个不信鬼神的主，不过孪生妹妹十分蹊跷的死亡却让她手足无措。虽说不信邪，可为了调查明白妹妹的死因，安吉拉不得不向康斯坦丁这个行走在善恶边缘的古怪家伙求助。诡异的地狱之旅开始了，说不定他们顺便还能拯救拯救人类呢！

◇ 看点：“救世主”魅力继续升温
　　
根据艾伦·摩尔长胜不衰的系列漫画《约翰·康斯坦丁：地狱煞星》改编的本片，主要角色的选择也费了不少功夫，从尼古拉斯·凯奇到休·杰克曼，甚至连凯文·史派西也成了重要考虑人选，不过最后重任还是落在了基努·里维斯身上。

　昔日曾凭《生死时速》一举成名的基努在之后一段日子里过得都不太顺利，离开了动作片的他似乎迷失了方向，还一度成了票房毒药。可《骇客帝国》三部曲的横空出世又让基努打了个漂亮的翻身仗，“救世主”尼奥深入人心。如今这个虚拟世界的“救世主”变作漫画书中的动作英雄康斯坦丁，同样性格复杂、沉闷、孤僻、高深莫测的他，和尼奥有着许多相似之处。制片公司也正是看好基努当救世主的潜力，而基努能否在《骇客帝国》退场之后，依然保持一线男星地位，很大程度上也得看这部动作惊悚大片的成败。

◇点评：漫画改编的一小步
　　
算起来，本片也是漫画改编热时期一窝蜂找上的的题材，主角也是个反传统式的英雄，和蜘蛛侠、地狱男孩一样，地狱神探康斯坦丁可不是心甘情愿地当英雄的。而美国民众对漫画英雄的喜爱可不是纸笔能够形容的，除了他们够酷、能力够强之外，也总是期待超级英雄其实暗地里脆弱得和我们一样，受受折磨反倒是好事。

　除了角色本身魅力，影片改编质量如何也是吸引漫画迷甚至动作迷的关键。音乐录影带出身的导演近年已经形成一股不小的势力，本片导演弗朗西斯可是此领域中的佼佼者，虽是第一次跨行电影界，可反而给《地狱神探》的运镜、画面带来了更新鲜的节奏感和视觉风格，绝对不会让人闷得发慌。

　基努拿手的动作戏更是少不了，作为英雄旅途的必经过程，该跑该跳该被打该反击通通都有。讲到地狱，CGI的运用肯定不能没有，虽然地狱神探本身没用到化装，但场面精致的设计配合特效，不但不像纯用特效那样平板，反而因为独特的设计显得时尚感十足。除了掌握到位的悬疑和惊悚的节奏，影片无处不在的黑色幽默和女主角怎么穿怎么好看的白衬衫更是意外的享受！

John himself has been to Hell - as a young man he too committed suicide and now knows that he is destined to return there on his death - but hopes that his good deeds may somehow find him a place in Heaven.
