在这部Ved verdens ende动作/冒险/喜剧片中,Somewhere in the Sumatran jungle, a British anthropologist discovers a magical plant that may hold the secret to eternal youth. However, before he can disclose its whereabouts, he is killed by a mysterious Danish national: Severin Gertsen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Soon Severin is captured and young criminal psychologist Adrian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) travels from Denmark to interview him, attempting to establish an insanity defence. When Severin takes Adrian hostage and escapes into the jungle, he sets off a massive man hunt as they as they are pursued by the police, the Indonesian army and a criminal gang – all of whom want to find out about the mysterious nature of the plant.
Danish psychiatrist Adrian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and his assistant Beate (Birgitte Hjort Sørensen) are sent to Sumatra in order to make a mental health evaluation of murder convict Severin, who claims to have murdered in order to protect a rare flower that gives eternal life.
