He works in the office of the Federal Film Censor and has a routine marriage. But then he sees the film "A Devassa da Estudante" (The Hot Student), with actress Dora Dumar and he is bowled over. Vicente's fascination with Dora takes him to the red light district, where he begins to work with Dora and Manolo, owner of the Magnífica film company. This seductive but chaotic world draws all three together in an obsessive triangle.
