Carlo (Verdone), a missionary who has spent the past 10 years of his life in Africa, returns home to Rome to find he is the completely ignored guest in a “new” family. His father is now married to a voluptuous vixen, Carlo’s sister is completely submerged in a sea of her own imaginary problems and their bankrupt brother is merrily hooked on more than just the volatile stock market. When the charming yet duplicitous Lara (Laura Chiatti) arrives, the family’s situation only gets more chaotic before it gets better.
Father Carlo returns home after years spent in Africa in an humanitarian mission. Instead of getting the expected peace of mind with the help of his family, he'll face their problems: for instance, his father has married Olga a Moldavian woman much younger than him and Carlo's brother and sister are worried about the heritage or what's let of it.
