在这部黑羊喜剧片中,《疯羊》讲述了五个同时发生的故事，联系他们的唯一纽带就是时代背景——21世纪的柏林。第一位出场的是鲍里斯Boris，他是一个嗜赌如命的手模特，和来自《时尚》杂志的美丽女孩Nadja同居住在一起。唯一的问题就是他现在是身无分文的穷光蛋，在他把自己的手指修剪了之后，从保险公司得到一小笔赔偿金，只是这对于他来说是远远无法满足的……
第二个故事讲述的是游船广播员夏洛特Charlotte和她的男友皮特Peter之间的故事，他从口头上的辱骂升级到拳打脚踢，之所以这么做，只是因为夏洛特试图想在老同学和她的完美丈夫面前留下一个好印象。
在另外一个空间里，观众们可以看到阿里Ali和他的伙伴们，他们的生活更像是人间地狱，拒绝任何温暖，只有潮湿和凹陷。在做完一系列惨无人道的事件之后，他们遇到了重大挫折，欠下很多债，整日靠吸大麻来麻痹自己。这让观众也会感觉难受。接下来与朱丽安Julian和比林Belin有关的事情有大麻、无政府主义嬉皮士组织、同性恋画家等等。
最后一个故事，但并不意味着是最少的，观众们可以看到弗里德Fred the Satanist和他头发尖挺的伙伴阿诺德Arnold。此时他们正在着手计划破坏一场盛大的表演活动，冒犯一个亲戚和干其他的坏事。看来，想要成为恶魔也不是那么容易的。
