They are getting by, even though Anghel (Gheorghe Visu), Andrei's father, has abandoned them. Andrei shows an interest in Nicole, but Grigore dismisses him as a suitable candidate for his daughter. Alexandra (Adela Popescu), a student, lives in Cluj, because of Amalia (Elvira Deatcu) his father's new wife, who has managed to take over the family business. This is only the beginning of a complex story, in which passions and interests collide.
