They are torn apart by the tragic death of Lucrecia's brother César which her mother, Rosario, unjustly blames on Julián. Lucrecia and Julián must fight against the sins of their parents and friends to be together.
Lucrecia and Julian are kids when a disaster happens to Lucrecias family. Her younger brother drowns in the river near her house. When Lucrecia comes back to town years later she falls in love with him and tries to fight for her love that her parents try to restrict at all costs.
