在这部独人捉迷藏剧场版：真·都市传说恐怖片中,都市伝説「ひとりかくれんぼ」を題材に描いたホラーシリーズ第3弾。高校の映画部に所属する倉田さくらと塚本康介は、都市伝説として流布している「ひとりかくれんぼ」という降霊術を題材に映画を作り、コンクール入賞を目指そうと部員を集める。顧問の先生をなんとか説得し、深夜の学校での撮影許可を得た映画部だったが、撮影のために始めた「ひとりかくれんぼ」の儀式が、思いもしなかった壮絶な恐怖体験へと発展していく。今回が映画初出演となるアイドルグループ「AKB48」の野中美郷が主演を務める。
Sakura Kurata (Misato Nonaka) and Kosuke Tsukamoto (Taiyo Ayukawa) are members of the movie club at their high school. They then organize a movie shoot which which revolves around the urban legend and occult game "hide-and-seek alone" ("hitori kakurenbo"). The game involves a ritual with a doll to contact the dead. The students persuade a teacher to allow them to shoot the movie at midnight in the school. The students begin their film, but they soon experience a lot more than they expected.
