This force allows the person to believe that he has overcome it and in his naivete, not being able to dis¬tinguish between fact and fantasy, he is overconfident from his apparent triumph. Even when the force has become bored with it all, our person does not relent, stupidly craving a further reaffirmation of his victory. In one easy blow the force wipes the person out, as # he were a bothersome fly. Only in his final moments does he realize his terrible self-deception.
