Arsenio and his expecting wife, Julia strive to maintain dignity in their adoptive country while surviving in an urban landscape far from his coastal hometown in Mexico. The arrival of his undocumented brother Chino obligates him to help his brother gain employment. Arsenio's good intentions interfere with his dreams and cause unexpected consequences while at the same time, paradise begins to poke its head. The film demonstrates the fragility of our choices and raises the issue of the disposability of people in our society. And peppers it with a dimension of hope.
