在这部Human Places片中,My movie is an observational documentary about a Transylvanian city, Targu Mures and the people who live there. The movie presents the connection between people, but also between people and places, because, beside the fact that we have an effect on each other, the places where we are situated can have too an effect on us.
With my movie style I wanted to go back to the roots of the cinema as well. I would say my movies closest soulmate is the earlier documentary films by the Lumiere brothers. Despite the fact that my movie is a documentary, Roy Anderssons and Jacques Tati's fictional movies has a big influence on the film and it's style. Both directors have stripped down the language of the cinema to it's basics.
I would like to give an experience for the audience, so after they watch this documentary, they could feel that the movie still continues with other film like scenes in the world around them.
